Squad FAQ
Everything you need to know about connecting with training buddies in Axis Echo.
Your Squad is a small circle of people who keep each other moving. Not a competition, not a leaderboard - just seeing when your people show up to train. Up to 5 connections, full control over what they see, and activity that refreshes daily.
Getting Started
What is the Squad?
Your Squad is your training buddy circle - up to 5 people you connect with to see when they train and what they're working on. It creates lightweight accountability without the pressure of a full competition. No content to post, no audience to build.
How do I add someone to my Squad?
Search their username in the Squad section and send a connection request. They get a notification and can accept or decline. You can add them back when they've added you - or not, it's entirely up to you.
Do connections have to be mutual?
No. Connections are one-way. You can add someone without them adding you back, and vice versa. Each direction is independent - you control who you add, and they control who they add.
How many people can I add?
Up to 5. People who have added you don't count against this limit - anyone can have you in their Squad. The 5-slot limit only applies to people you actively connect with.
What if my 5 slots are full and I want to add someone new?
The app will offer a "Make Room" option. You remove one of your current 5, and a connection request is automatically sent to the new person. A quick toast confirms both actions.
Privacy
What can people in my Squad see?
You control this per person. Three levels: Activity Only (they see "Trained" or "Resting" - nothing else), Full Workout (they see your workout name and duration), or Everything (they see your full exercises, sets, and ratings).
How do I control what someone can see?
Go to the Manage tab in Squad. Each person has a privacy setting you can adjust at any time. Changes take effect immediately.
Can I see who has added me?
Yes. The Manage tab shows who has added you and any pending connection requests. You can accept or decline requests there.
What happens if I switch to Solo mode?
Your activity is hidden from everyone. Your Squad connections are preserved and reactivate when you switch back to Social mode.
Activity and Photos
What does the activity view show?
A 7-day grid showing which days each person in your Squad trained. You can also see individual activity items with more detail, depending on the privacy level they've set for you.
Can I share workout photos?
Yes. After logging a workout, if you're connected with others in Squad, you can attach a photo. It appears as a thumbnail on your activity item and stays visible for 48 hours before it expires.
What if someone I've added hasn't added me back?
Nothing changes - you still have them in your Squad and can see their activity at whatever privacy level they've set. Connections are independent in each direction.
What if someone removes my access to their activity?
You get a notification. You can no longer see their activity. Your connection to them (if you've added them) is unaffected.
